Reduced Syllabus for the ICSE 2022 Class 10 Board Examination
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has released the ICSE 2022 Class 10 Reduced Syllabus for various subjects. This decision has been taken because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that has led to extended lockdowns in various regions of India. Students across the country continue to struggle to cope with the disruption in educational activities brought about by the lockdown. Students have lost numerous study hours and the teaching-learning processes have also been severely impacted. Keeping in mind the ongoing pandemic situation and no surety about the opening of schools in India, the Council has come up with the Reduced Syllabus.
The Council has identified various portions of the syllabus and removed them for the ICSE 2022 Class 10 Board Exams. As mentioned by the Council, this reduction will not compromise the quality of the content. Along with this, the Council has also mentioned that schools will have to teach according to the sequence of the topics mentioned in the reduced syllabus. This will ensure that if the syllabus is further reduced, the students don’t face any problems across India.
