The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has released the Biology ICSE 2022 Class 10 Reduced Syllabus. We at EduCeption have decoded the reduced syllabus for the better understanding of students. We are going to mention the topics that have been removed from the syllabus so that students don’t have to study anything extra in Biology. Students are advised to study the chapters sequentially as mentioned in the reduced syllabus. This will be helpful for students in case the CISCE decides to further reduce the syllabus.

Mentioned below are the chapter-wise topics that have been removed from the Syllabus. Students don’t have to study these topics.
- Genetics – (i) Sex-linked inheritance of diseases. (ii) Di-hybrid Cross.
- Transpiration – Mechanism of stomatal transpiration on the basis of Potassium Ion Exchange Theory.
- Photosynthesis – (i) Opening & Closing of stomata based on Potassium Ion Exchange Theory. (ii) Carbon Cycle.
- Chemical Coordination in Plants – Full chapter removed.
- Endocrine System – Feedback Mechanism (Control of hormonal secretions).
- Reproductive System – Full chapter removed.
- Human Evolution – Full chapter removed.
- Population – Full chapter removed.
- Pollution – Full chapter removed.
