The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has released the Mathematics ICSE 2022 Class 10 Reduced Syllabus. We at EduCeption have decoded the reduced syllabus for the better understanding of students. We are going to mention the topics that have been removed from the syllabus so that students don’t have to study anything extra in Mathematics. Reduced Syllabus for Mathematics

Mentioned below are the chapters and topics that have been removed from the Syllabus. Students don’t have to study these topics.

  • Shares & Dividends – Full chapter removed.
  • Ratio & Proportion – Direct simple applications (Problem Sums).
  • Arithmetic Progression (AP) – Simple applications (Problem Sums).
  • Geometric Progression (GP) – Full chapter removed.
  • Similarity – (i) Basic Proportionality Theorem. (ii) Area of Similar Triangles. (iii) Maps and Models.
  • Locus – Full chapter removed.
  • Construction – Full chapter removed.
  • Mensuration – Sphere & Hemisphere.
  • Measure of Central Tendency – Students have to find Mean by any one of these methods – (i) Direct. (ii) Short-Cut. (iii) Step Deviation.
